My latest book just arrived back from the publisher! e-Pistles for an i-Generation. I’m excited to share it with you!
I want to tell you about the cover (directly below). Notice the title: e-Pistles For an i-Generation: Relevant in a Digital Age . Your generation. Our digital age. The front picture portrays that 1st and 2nd Corinthians can get from an ancient scroll into your i-pad (and then into your heart). The back cover is an i-pad with a critical message.
Have you ever been wrongly judged? Falsely accused? It can be pretty painful. Equally difficult is to be correctly judged and appropriately accused. These scenarios create burdens to carry. God didn’t intended these burdens. He intended you to live in freedom. So how do you think and respond in such a situation when it’s your move?
Many life trials will not be properly addressed on this earth. Perhaps some will. But some issues are so tangled, too complicated to unravel. God helps people apply strategies in thinking – His wisdom – to work through difficult problems. God helps when it’s your move.
Mahatma Gandhi said, “Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.”

Does that negate my desire to make a difference? It does not. Does the immense world minimize my contribution? It does not. In fact, logically it seems to indicate all the more that my little bit offered in my small sphere of influence is necessary since the job of world influence is so great. I call using my small influence “little leadership.”
Some years ago, I came across a helpful tool that not only changed how I think, but it has become a “go to” resource for me. It’s called the Universes of Values Chart. *
Did you know that your mind-set affects everything? Big stuff. Small stuff. Short-term. And especially long-term. What has your mind-set been these days? Do you know what a superhero mindset is?
Why do people do what they do? How does freedom of choice impact their decisions? What root issues do people focus on most as they make their path through life?
Root issues are important to look at when talking about human behavior. They help determine the “what” and “why” of habits, addictions, preferences, and character. Read More …
If you are a C.S. Lewis fan, you know he often talks about a certain magic in his children’s stories. It’s a very good magic – deep in meaning, inviting, safe, and hidden. It’s filled with wonder and hope. It’s the marvel of the land of Narnia.
If we were to gather up a list of what each person on the globe thinks is the very worst sin of all, we’d have a truly interesting document. The data might vary from culture to culture, but there would likely be some noteworthy trends. And some common worst sins.
